Small Animal Medical Center
The new Small Animal Medical Center building (total floor area of 2,562 square meters) is an upgraded and expanded facility, with the number of examination/treatment rooms doubled to eight (five for dogs, two for cats, and one for 24-hour emergency services); and the number of surgical suites increased from two to five, three of which are designated for hands-on training. Other new facilities features include a small animal isolation suite (equipped with examination rooms, treatment rooms, and inpatient rooms), physical therapy rooms equipped with exercise equipment, a chemotherapy room to meet the rising demand for tumor treatments in ageing companion animal populations, an ophthalmological examination room, and a dental examination/treatment room. The outdoor dog run on the rooftop is primarily used for small animals in the convalescent stage.
